§ 26-2. Control of working prisoners.

  • Whenever any person convicted of any law by the police court shall be ordered to work in payment of any fine and cost, it shall be lawful for the officer having such person in charge to use such means to secure the labor of such person not inconsistent with the laws of the state, as may be deemed necessary, subject, however, to the approval of the mayor.
